Chhatarpur Temple is a temple in South Delhi, which is one of the biggest temple complexes in India. It was built in 1974 by Sant Shree Nagpal Baba in order to worship Goddess Katyayani. The maze-like compound covers over sixty acres, and the entire structure has been constructed from marble. This place is an architectural unique blend of North and Southern India temple architecture. This temple is mostly devoted to the worship of Goddess Katyayani, and it has a very big idol of Goddess Katyayani, which is worshipped during the Navaratri festivals. Many people visit the temple with their offerings during all the festivals to pray to Lord.
The complex of this temple has several shrines of other gods, like Shiva, Vishnu, and Hanuman, mainly, as usual. It’s open for visitors daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Apart from religious functions, the temple is involved in charitable tasks, like distributing Annadanam—which is free, delicious food to the poor and needy. Although it is a worship place, due to its calm environment and stately gardens, Chhatarpur Temple is among the most visited tourist places in Delhi. There are around 5000 visitors daily, and the count skyrockets during Hindu festivals like Durga Puja and Diwali.

Chhatarpur Temple Delhi Darshan Timings
Lakhs of devotees come to the temple every year to seek blessings from Goddess Adya Katyayani. Normally, it is like the rush in Akshardham Temple at Delhi. Here also, many festivals are organised, but mainly Mahashivratri, Krishna Janmashtami, Guru Purnima, and Babaji’s Nirvaan Divas take place. However, the important festival—mostly waited for, is Navratri for which people throng the temple in large numbers to do Puja and darshan.
It is not easy for the temple management to handle such a huge crowd. The metro connects easily here. The nearest metro station is Chattarpur Mandir. Below, we have provided the Darshan Timings and details about Pooja Offerings at Chhatarpur Temple. Stay connected for more information..
