The Spiritual cultural complex being the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in New Delhi is one of the biggest Hindu temples in the world, that represents India’s cultures, spirituality and architecture. It was initiated in the year 2005 and is managed by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and it is for Lord Bhagwan Swaminarayan. There has also constructed a pretty idol of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in temple of approximately 11 feet and around that sculptures of important personalities of India. There are also three major shows in the temple by which people can know more about Indian culture and norms through videos, boats and animatronics. Another big attraction is the Sahaj Anand Water Show where visitors can watch an excellent symbony of water, lights and sound in the evenings. These and other exhibits make Akshardham a very special place of visit, though this show. Within a few years tens of millions of visitors have been served at the temple to make this place among the most earning in New Delhi.

- Getting into Akshardham is just like going through the rigorous security at an airport.
- All electronic devices such as phones, cameras and smartwatches are not allowed in and should be kept at the security counters.
- However, you need to keep your passport, wallet and keys with you at all times.
- You have to take your shoes off before you can go into the main temple, so taking some disposable foot covers is convenient.
- You should visit the park early in the morning or before sunset to stay safe and escape all the crowds. No photography is allowed in a sacred place of worship; its sanctity is very important.
Shoulders, chest, navel and upper arms must be covered by your upper garment and your lower garment should go below your knees. When using a free shawl, you can deposit 100 rupees ($1.20) which you will get back when you return the shawl.
