What is the SriVaani Trust?

Let’s get to the main topic. The SriVaani Trust stands for Sri Venkateswara Alaya Nirmana Trust. We often see that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) constructs temples in various places. They also provide funds for dhoop, deep, and naivedyam (offerings) to some temples. The donation we give for temple construction or for these offerings is called the SriVaani Trust.

For those who donate ₹10,000 to the SriVaani Trust, the Devasthanam offers a VIP Break Darshan. To avail of this VIP Break Darshan, you need to donate ₹10,000 to the SriVaani Trust. Anyone can make this donation—there’s no distinction between young or old. By donating ₹10,000 to the SriVaani Trust, you get the opportunity to go up to the first threshold (Modati Gadapa) of Lord Venkateswara for darshan.

Benefits of Donating to SriVaani Trust

  • Many devotees wish to see Lord Venkateswara up close. To encourage this desire, if you donate ₹10,000, along with the VIP Break Darshan, TTD also provides accommodation for ₹500.
  • The accommodation itself costs ₹1,000. Through the SriVaani Trust Donors Quota, you can go up to the first threshold for darshan, and you’ll also receive the teertha prasadam (sacred water and offerings) placed before the Lord, along with the Mangala Haarati (auspicious lamp offering).
  • This gives every devotee a chance to have a close darshan of the Lord. Online, TTD releases the darshan tickets for the SriVaani Trust Donors Quota three months in advance.

Important Clarifications on Donation Amounts

However, there’s something to keep in mind. Many devotees are unaware that to go up to the first threshold for darshan through the SriVaani Trust Donors Quota, each person must donate ₹10,000. Recently, a family of five called me. They donated ₹1 lakh to the SriVaani Trust, thinking they could get a closer darshan of the Lord. But donating ₹1 lakh doesn’t allow you to go closer for darshan—that’s a different quota. To go up to the first threshold, each person must donate ₹10,000. So, for one person, it’s ₹10,000; for two, it’s ₹20,000; for three, it’s ₹30,000.

You can donate up to ₹99,999 in the SriVaani Trust Donors Quota to avail of this darshan. But if you donate ₹1,00,000 by mistake, you lose eligibility for this specific darshan quota. Donations of ₹1,00,000 come under a different category with separate facilities, which I’ll explain in a future video.

Booking SriVaani Trust Darshan Tickets Offline

For offline booking, at Tirumala, near the JEO office, there’s the Gokulam Rest House. At the backside of that building, TTD issues darshan tickets for the SriVaani Trust Donors Quota. The total cost includes ₹10,000 for the SriVaani Trust donation, ₹500 for the VIP Break Darshan ticket, and ₹1,000 for accommodation (VIP room). So, per person, it comes to ₹11,500.

Devotees who pay this amount are allowed to have darshan from the first threshold. Offline, these tickets are available daily from 8:00 AM at the backside of Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala.

Special Arrangements at Tirupati Airport

Additionally, there’s another category for devotees coming from across India or abroad via Tirupati Airport. TTD has set up a counter at Tirupati Airport for the SriVaani Trust.

By showing your boarding pass and ID, you can pay the ₹10,000 donation at the counter and avail of the opportunity to have darshan up to the first threshold. I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.

Darshan Process and Timing for SriVaani Trust Donors

Regarding how the darshan is facilitated, if you wish to have darshan on a particular day, you need to report to the JEO office the previous day. For example, if you want darshan on the 22nd, you must report to the JEO office on the 21st. After reporting, they’ll either send the darshan timing to the number you provided or inform you directly.

The VIP quota darshan is scheduled early in the morning, so you’ll be given darshan at that time. You can go up to the first threshold, receive the teertha prasadam, and also witness the Lord’s Haarati. The entire darshan process usually completes within an hour, giving you a wonderful experience.

Darshan Experience and Additional Benefits

You’ll feel a great sense of fulfillment because you get to see the Lord up close. The darshan lasts around 10 minutes, as you can see the Lord from the start until you reach the first threshold.

Afterward, you’ll receive prasadam at the Shatagopuram, along with the teertha prasadam. You can also bring your children under 12 years of age with you for this darshan. I encourage everyone to make use of the SriVaani Trust Donors Quota to have this close darshan of the Lord.

Special Days and Precautions While Booking

On special days, you need to be cautious while donating to the SriVaani Trust Donors Quota. During festivals like Vaikuntha Ekadashi, the SriVaani Trust darshan (first threshold darshan) is canceled. You’ll have to join the general queue and have darshan from Jaya-Vijaya (the temple gatekeepers’ statues). So, when booking tickets for such special days, double-check all the details carefully before proceeding.

  2. Dear Sir, My family of four plans to visit in May/ June this year. We are ok to purchase VIP break darshan tickets of Rs 10000. Should we also get recommendation letters from VIPs? We don’t know any VIPs. Please let me know.
    Thanks

    • No, recommendation letters from VIPs are not mandatory to purchase VIP Break Darshan tickets at Srirangam Temple. If you’re buying tickets officially (like the ₹10,000 VIP darshan), that alone is sufficient.

    • If you wish to obtain multiple tickets, TTD allows up to nine VIP Break Darshan tickets per family or group under the Srivani Trust scheme for a single donation, with each ticket requiring a ₹10,000 donation per person. For example:

      A ₹10,000 donation = 1 ticket (₹500 additional payment).
      A ₹90,000 donation (for 9 people) = 9 tickets (₹4,500 additional payment for 9 × ₹500).
for a single ₹10,000 donation, one ₹500 VIP Break Darshan ticket is issued.
