How to Reach Muthumalai Murugan Temple
Muthumalai Murugan Temple is located at Puthiragoundampalayam, at Yethapur (Ettapur), Salem district in Tamil Nadu. It is renowned with the tallest statue of Lord Murugan statue in the world which is 146 feet tall. The temple can be located like this:
- Air: The closest airport is the Salem Domestic Airport at around 65 km. The Cochin International Airport (190 km) and Coimbatore International Airport (160 km) can also be used. The taxi or bus is available to the temple at the airport.
- Through the Train: Ettapur Road Railway Station is the nearest railway station and the temple is located almost 3.3 km. Another big station is the Salem Junction, which is approximately 40 km. Rent a taxi or board a local bus to take you to temple either of the stations.
- By Bus: The temple is located 2.5km away from the Ettapur Bus Stand. A lot of buses are available to connect Salem, Chennai and other cities to Ettapur. It is possible to walk to the temple or use auto-rickshaw or hire a taxi at the bus stand.
