The Sri Ganesha Temple of Alaska sited in Anchorage is the first Hindu temple in the state. It was inaugurated in 1999 and the temple is also committed to the sacred images of Lord Rama and Goddess Durga. In 2011 the temple was shifted to its present location on Raspberry Road following donations from the local Hindu community and construction magnate Jerry Neeser.
