TTD Srivari Bramotsavam 2024 :Darshan Room Booking & Dates

The schedule and dates for the Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam 2023 have been released. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board plans to hold both the Srivari Annual Brahmotsavams and Navaratri Brahmotsavams. These celebrations are significant events attracting many tourists and devotees. During these festive days, Lord Govinda will be seen on all 14 vahanas, blessing devotees along the Tiru maada Streets.

This year, due to the Hindu Calendar, Brahmotsavam celebrations occur twice. In 2023, the Brahmotsavams are being performed privately (Ekantam) following COVID-19 safety guidelines. Only Sarvadarshan and 300 Special Entry darshans are permitted during this period. Booking for darshan during Brahmotsavam dates is currently blocked on the TTD online booking website.

History Srivari Bramotsavam 2024

The Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavams have been celebrated for generations on Tirumala hill during the nine festive days of Dussera Navaratri. According to legends, Lord Brahma once sought Lord Vishnu’s permission to conduct festivals and ritu feeling neglected in worship and sacrifices. Lord Vishnu granted this request, allowing Brahma to organize these celebrations himself. Hence, these festive events are known as Brahmotsavams.

Overview of Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam Schedule

The Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavam schedule spans 9 consecutive days starting with Dwajaarohanam. From October 15th to October 23rd devotees can witness more than 14 vahanams carrying Lord Venkateswara Swamy during processions along Tirumada Streets. During these days, devotees can sit in viewing galleries to observe the procession.

All arjitha sevas for Utsava Murthy are suspended, and only sarvadarshan, Free Darshan, and 300 Rs Special Entry Darshan are available. Accommodation in temple cottages or rooms is extremely limited during Brahmotsavam, so devotees should be prepared for possible unavailability.

Each day includes two vahana sevas, one in the morning and another in the evening or night procession.
